Superglass Adapt Slab 35 is a non-combustible glass mineral wool slab designed for fast, accurate friction fit between studs and joists. Supplied in 400 mm and 600 mm widths, it minimises gaps at joints, reduces cutting on site and delivers dependable thermal and acoustic performance across walls, floors and roofs.

Installation guidance

  • Measure stud or joist centres and select 400 mm or 600 mm slabs for a snug friction fit.

  • Cut cleanly where required and fit tightly with no gaps at edges or corners.

  • Avoid over-compression to maintain declared thermal and acoustic performance.

  • Stagger joints between layers where multiple layers are specified.

  • Follow the project specification for any required linings, membranes or finishes.

All Superglass products are non-hygroscopic, will not rot or degrade, do not sustain vermin and do not encourage mould, bacteria or fungi.

Handling and storage

Supplied compression packed in polythene for short-term protection only. Store indoors or under a waterproof cover, off the ground and protected from weather. Keep slabs clean and undamaged. Do not leave permanently exposed to the elements.

Is Adapt Slab 35 non-combustible? Yes. It is Euroclass A1 which is the highest possible reaction to fire rating.

Will it help with sound? Yes. The flexible glass mineral wool structure helps reduce airborne sound through stud walls and timber floors when installed correctly.

Can I friction fit it between 400 mm and 600 mm centres? Yes. It is supplied in 400 mm and 600 mm widths for a tight fit that limits air gaps and waste.
