Accessibility

Our commitment

We want every tradesperson to be able to use MYTRADEBARGAINS, whatever device or assistive technology they use. We aim for WCAG 2.2 level AA across the site, and we treat accessibility as part of building each feature, not a bolt-on at the end.

What we’ve built

• Everything works with a keyboard, and the element you’re on always has a visible focus outline.
• Pages use semantic landmarks and a single h1, so screen readers can navigate by structure.
• Colour contrast meets AA. Our brand yellow is used as text only on dark backgrounds, where contrast is high; on light surfaces it’s only ever a fill behind near-black text. We never put yellow text on white, where it would be unreadable.
• Animations respect your reduced-motion setting.
• Search results announce their count to screen readers via a live region, so you know what a search found without hunting for it.
• Product imagery carries alt text.

Known limitations

Some product images come from third-party supplier catalogues and may lack meaningful alt text. We’re working through the catalogue to improve this.
