This 4mm diameter x 70mm length Forgefast Pozi Wood Screw in a pack of 100 delivers substantial fixing capability for very thick timber assemblies with 4mm diameter strength. The 70mm length is particularly effective for securing heavy structural timber, substantial floor joists, and thick framework where extended penetration depth is required whilst maintaining excellent holding power. Featuring a universally accepted Pozi-compatible drive, this screw incorporates six underhead lobes for improved countersinking and reduced surface dust. The reinforced countersunk neck enhances holding power. An anti-friction thread minimises timber splitting, prevents jacking and spinning during assembly, and provides improved drawing strength. The serrated design enhances pull-out resistance whilst reducing insertion torque. The double cutting point allows faster drilling time with reduced wood dust clogging and is capable of piercing 0.8mm steel. Protected by the Elementech 400 coating, this screw offers anti-corrosive protection lasting up to six times longer than standard zinc coatings. The environmentally friendly coating contains no Cr6+ and is Salt Spray tested to 400 hours.
