The Knipex 98 Series VDE Stripping Knife with an ergonomically designed handle is VDE tested up to 10 000V and safe to work at up to 1 000V. The 98 Series also conforms to DIN EN / IEC 60900. The handle provides a confident safe grip thanks to slip-proof soft components and also features a thumb recess and 'finger hook' at the end of the handle to ensure a good transmission of force when the blade is pulled. Its surgical steel stainless vacuum-hardened blade has a sickle shape with guide shoe at the blade point this ensures there is no damage to the conductor insulation.
