What it does

Felt layers are excellent for absorption and echo control, however they do not block sound travelling through a wall. TERRAC works differently. It adds mass and damping to help reduce sound transmission through the structure. When installed as part of a wall build up, it can deliver a noticeable improvement in privacy and comfort.

Installation guide

TERRAC tiles are designed for straightforward wall installation using T Bond Gold high strength contact adhesive.

• Ensure surfaces are clean dry and free from grease oil and dust.

• Hold the aerosol at approximately 70 degrees to the surface.

• Apply a uniform coat of adhesive to both the wall and the acoustic tile, aiming for 80 to 100% coverage.

• Spray one surface horizontally and the other vertically.

• The adhesive is ready to bond when it feels dry to the touch and does not transfer.

• Bring the two surfaces together firmly. A strong immediate bond will be made.

• Full cure can take up to 24 hours depending on temperature and conditions.

• As a guide, 1 x 500ml aerosol provides approximately 3 m² surface coverage.
