Description

Cant Rail for Closeboard Fencing This 75mm x 48mm Cant Rail is a key structural component for building strong, long-lasting closeboard fencing. Designed to provide horizontal support for featheredge boards, this cant rail is ideal for domestic and commercial fencing projects. Made from softwood timber and left with a rough sawn finish, the angled top edge helps shed water, reducing moisture retention and extending the life of your fence. It is pressure treated to protect against rot and insect attack, ensuring long-term resistance in outdoor environments. Commonly installed between fence posts in closeboard systems, cant rails provide the support needed to fix featheredge boards securely. Use two or three per bay depending on the height of your fence, with the angled profile facing up to deflect rainwater. Key Features of the Timber Cant Rail: Pressure treated for protection against rot and decay. Softwood timber with rough sawn finish. Angled (bevelled) face to shed water and reduce rot risk. Ideal for supporting featheredge boards in closeboard fencing. Suitable for domestic and commercial fencing. Use 2 or 3 rails per bay depending on fence height. Please note: Timber is a natural product. Finish, colour and sizes may vary from illustration and description. While every care is taken to provide you the best material, with it being natural it can move, split, warp, twist, swell and shrink.
