The DLW140 is a 36v cordless metal cut off saw which is powered by two standard Makita LXT 18v power tool batteries simultaneously. It has an energy efficient soft start brushless motor for longer runtimes, an electric brake and and an LED load status indicator - under excessive load conditions, the LEDs will start blinking to alert the user. The DLW140Z is supplied as a bare tool without batteries. It shares battery compatibility with all Makita 18v LXT cordless tools but requires two batteries to run.
