This box is fully approved to National Grid Gas (Transco) specifications.Manufactured to BS8499. Complete with spigot, key and bracket.The brickwork opening size is 530mm x 370mm x 150mm.Our wide product range includes a range of accessories to complement our pipes, ducts and other products within the plumbing, electrical and gas sectors.Please note that the actual connection of any mains service such as electric, gas and water should be always be carried out by qualified professionals.Water and Gas PipesMDPE (medium density polyethylene) is now the most common material used in the manufacture of water and gas supplies in the UK. Unlike previously used materials such as copper and iron, MDPE will not degrade to any great degree with age. Adaptors are available within our range of fittings to connect to these older materials if a connection is required.Potable (drinkable) water mains are always blue in colour whereas non-potable mains are black. Gas pipe is always yellow.We would always recommend that any water or gas main buried in the ground is installed inside a duct. This both protects the pipe and makes removal or replacement a much easier task.
