Mini Moderns Wallpaper Garden Party MM2020

With its wire frame motifs, suggestive of garden trellis, this design brings together diverse elements of gardening and entertaining. Hand drawn illustrations of trowels, pot plants, decanters and candelabra all vie for attention in a wallpaper that subtly references the work of some of Mini Moderns’ favourite mid-century designers, such as Enid Seeney and Marian Mahler. The inspiration for Garden Party is rooted in Mark and Keith’s interest in social history, specifically the post-war boom in suburban gardening, which saw outdoor spaces liberated from the wartime necessity of growing vegetables to become places for recreation and entertaining.
