Description

3.0m Scarfed Rail - 87mm x 38mm Treated Timber This 3.0 metre scarfed rail is a standard-sized timber rail designed specifically for post and rail fencing applications. Measuring 87mm x 38mm, it features precisely cut scarfed ends on both sides, allowing it to joint neatly with other scarfed rails for a strong, continuous fence line. Used alongside mortice posts, this scarfed rail helps create a traditional, clean-looking fence with improved structural integrity at each joint. The scarf joints reduce weak points, making it ideal for longer runs where alignment and strength are important. Pressure treated 'green', this rail offers enhanced resistance to rot and decay, extending its service life when used above ground. While durable and reliable, it is not suitable for ground contact, making it best suited for horizontal fencing applications where airflow and drainage are maintained. Key Features of Scarf Rails Standard scarfed rail for post and rail fencing. Dimensions: 87mm x 38mm. Length: 3.0 metres. Scarfed ends for strong, flush joints with adjoining rails. Designed for use with mortice posts. Pressure treated green for longer-lasting performance. Suitable for outdoor, above-ground use only. Ideal for agricultural, equestrian, and estate fencing. Please note: Timber is a natural product. Finish, colour and sizes may vary from illustration and description. While every care is taken to provide you the best material, with it being natural it can move, split, warp, twist, swell and shrink.
