Description
The Makita BL1830 Lithium Ion Battery has an unbeatable 22 minute charge time for a 3Ah power cell. A lightweight, shock absorbent design allows for controlled operation of cordless power tools, without fear of damage. The BL1830 battery is fitted with the Makita Star Protection System, an inbuilt computer which communicates with compatible Makita Power Tools to monitor operating conditions. The system is engineered to protect against overload, over discharge & overheating. The Makita BL830 Lithium Ion Battery is only compatible with Makita Cordless Power Tools featuring a yellow connector plate, or a connector plate decorated with the Star Protection System symbol. Over their lifetime, Lithium Ion Batteries have a 430% greater working capacity than Ni-Cad, & are 40% lighter than Ni-MH. They can also be stored for long periods with very little charge depletion. These batteries can be charged using a Makita DC18RA or Makita DC18RC charger.
