Eco Friendly Heating Loose Wire Underfloor Heating System
The Loose Wire Heating System is designed for flexibility and performance, making it ideal for irregularly shaped rooms or spaces with lots of fixtures and fittings. The ultra-thin heating cable can be laid around corners, sanitaryware, kitchen units, and awkward edges, giving you much more control over cable spacing and heat coverage than a standard mat system.
This system works particularly well beneath ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone tiles, delivering even, comfortable warmth across the floor without significantly raising floor height.

If you are working with a more regular room shape, a StickyMat heating system can often be quicker to install. For tile protection and crack isolation, the DCM-PRO heated decoupling system is also worth considering. For laminate or engineered wood floors, a dry system such as foil underfloor heating is usually more suitable.

The Loose Wire System is supplied as a complete kit to make installation straightforward. Each kit typically includes:
Ultra-thin 1.8mm dual-core heating cable for low build-up installations
Primer for preparing timber subfloors where required
Fixing tape to secure the cable layout

Because the cable is only 1.8mm thick, it is very well suited to refurbishment projects where finished floor height matters. The wire is normally installed into tile adhesive or a thin self-levelling compound, so there is no need for a full screed layer.

This version is designed specifically for tiled and stone floors. For laminate, engineered wood, vinyl, or carpet, a different electric underfloor heating system is usually recommended.
