Description

The Klargester AquaHarvest Domestic 2350L is a Direct System suitable for domestic applications where it is impractical to have a header tank, for example in homes that have converted attic spaces and less room. Therefore, filtered rainwater is pumped direct from the holding tank to the various appliances.

How much water could you save with a Klargester rainwater harvester?

A 4 bedroom house typically uses 222 litre of water per day. 30% of this is generally used for flushing the toilet and 7% is outdoor use. Instead of using tap water, the AquaHarvest recycled water could save you paying for 30,000 litres per year. Better for you and the environment!

How does a rainwater harvester work?

Rainwater directed to the system is firstly filtered by an in line leaf filter, before further filtering on the pump inlet. Final fine filtration is catered for by the inline filter supplied as part of the kit. The Grundfos ‘intelligent’ pump has the necessary sensors to allow automatic operation when demand is called for by drop of pressure in the system. If the storage tank has a low level of rainwater, there is a small automatic charge of mains water into the tank to ensure the system never runs dry. The main advantage of this system is that rainwater is delivered to the appliances at mains pressure or higher.
