This 8.5mm Faithfull Professional Cobalt Jobber Drill Bit is supplied individually, offering a specialist size for precision engineering applications. The 8.5mm diameter is particularly useful for creating specific clearances, enlarging existing holes or meeting exacting engineering specifications in heavy-duty metalworking projects. Manufactured from premium M35 HSSE grade steel with 5% cobalt content, this bit provides exceptional performance in the most challenging materials. The cobalt enrichment delivers superior heat resistance, which is particularly important at this larger diameter where sustained drilling through thick sections generates considerable heat. The fully ground finish ensures optimal cutting geometry and efficient chip evacuation, whilst the 135° non-slip split point guarantees accurate centring from initial contact. Produced in accordance to DIN 388 standards for guaranteed precision tolerances and geometric accuracy. Ideal for alloy steels, carbon steels, cast iron, hardened alloy steels, stainless steels, high temperature alloys, titanium alloy, high strength steel and carbon fibre composite materials.
