Self Regulating Cables For Pipe Freeze Protection

Eco Friendly heating and flooring provide the best pipe freeze protection. Flexels self-regulating cables automatically prevent pipe freezing by adjusting heat output based on the surrounding temperature, saving energy by de-energizing when the pipe is no longer at risk of freezing. Used for domestic and commercial applications. They are also suitable for both metal and plastic pipes, and are easy to install by securing the cable along the pipe and then insulating it.

To provide pipe freeze protection the ELSR cables are simply taped along the bottom of the pipe.

For plastic pipes we recommend the use of aluminium foil tape to provide better heat dispersion. For maximum protection, trace heated pipes should always be insulated. A connection kit using crimps and heat shrink insulation (kit 4) will be required per circuit. This kit includes components to produce a cold tail connection to the trace cable and seal the end.
