Makita's CXT range expands the ever growing 12v power tool market with a selection of compact and lightweight machines which use a sliding lithium ion battery format. Utilising technology inherited from Makita's 18v range, these new batteries are equipped with overload protection circuitry and high capacity cells; fitted with multi-contact terminals to ensure stable connection even under extreme work vibration conditions, they are built for structural strength and durability and can be used in temperatures down to -20°C. The HS301D is an 85mm circular saw that benefits from CXT technology to ensure optimum power and supremely stable battery contact for smooth and effective cordless cutting performance. The bevel adjustment allows angles up to 45° with a 16.5mm depth of cut, which can be set to a maximum of 25.mm for straight cuts. An integrated blower function helps to keep the work surface free from sawdust and an external vacuum cleaner can be connected to the tool for an effective dust extraction system.
